Each year the University of Toronto’s Book History and Print Culture program hosts a graduate student colloquium. The colloquium is an annual event which invites graduate students, emerging scholars, independent scholars, and keynote speakers to bring a multidisciplinary approach to that year’s topic.
This year we are proud to announce the colloquium topic, The Book Out of Order: Structure, Inversion, Dissent. The event will be held online on Friday, March 5 and Saturday, March 6, 2021.
This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Jessica Lockhart, Head of Research of the University of Toronto’s Old Books New Science Lab as well as the Book and the Silk Roads project. She will be speaking on Saturday, March 6 at 1:05pm.
This year the colloquium will also be featuring its first artist in residence, Jojo Karlin, who will be creating illustrations for all of the colloquium’s panels. (Update: you can view all of her illustrations of the colloquium panels here.)
